Hi All,
It's that time of year again... my OH's birthday - which finds me reading lots of reviews about some piece of technology, getting horribly confused and asking for help
This year it is camcorders. He is very difficult to buy for because he won't just say that he would like a camcorder and pick one out. I know he wants one for our trip to Florida next year and his eyes lit up when he saw how portable they are now in PC World. I would say his main requirements are:
1. Portability / compact
2. Fairly good zoom
3. HD would be good I think - he loves his HD tv and blue ray player and is always banging on about how much better the picture is!
4. Ease of use once you come to transfer the video's to computor / laptop, do editing / burn to DVD. He is not a technophobe but will lose patience very quickly if it's a faff.
5. Good looking - he is a shameless gadget whore!
My budget is approx £200 - I would like to get any accessories he will need as well but am happy to not do this in favour of getting a better camcorder for the budget.
I have looked at ultra-portable ones like the Sony Bloggie - but I'm thinking these won't have the zoom / functionality that he will want. I could be wrong though :shrug:
