Hi all, I have 2 rucksacks (a lowepro vertex aw100 and a ebay jobby)

Problem is, I now have too much gear to fit in one bag by miles... I need to carry around the following gear:

Nikon D700 + MDB10 Grip
Nikon 24-70 2.8
Nikon 70-200 2.8
2 x SB900
1 x 550EX
Lightmeter
Canon 20D
Sigma 18-200
Various cables, cleaning gear, batteries, filters and triggers etc.

Does anyone know of a good (large) carry case / bag that will be able to house all this gear?

I am really struggling to find one based on internet pictures, and my local jessops / LCE only stock smaller rucksacks....

:help:

why not one of the bigger vertex ones? I have the 200aw and I'm sure it would fit that lot in quite easily

I recently had the same dillema - I needed to carry a lot of gear in an airline carry on compatable bag.

I went for a Tamrac expedition 6x in which I was able to pack:

EOS 50D with Sigma 120-400 fitted
EOS 30D Body
EFS 17-85 Lens
Portable hard drive/viewer
Photo GPS
Garmin Handheld GPS
Binoculars (10 x 42)
Charger x 2
Filters
Memory Cards
Batteries
Dust kit
Rocket blower
Spare shirt (in laptop pocket!)

The bag will hold more if you rearrange the pockets and it's comfortable enough to carry.

The downside is that the bag doesn't have any quick access options to remove gear in a hurry, whcih can be a pain.

Hope this helps !

Have a look at

I have the Tamrac Expedition 8 very comfortable to wear for extended periods.

Contains all the stuff in my sig plus more.

yeah it's a lot taller so you'd probably be able to fit 2 cameras in the middle section pointing towards each other, loads of room down the sides too

That seems good, although the main issue I have with the bags is the height... When I have the grip on the D700 it barely fits in the bag, is this high enough to take the camera + grip ?

yeah, I think the 300 is too big for airline carry on which is what put me off

Lol, just checked and mine is the 300aw!

Must have been the right size for carry on after all
