If it's backpacks you're after then I'd recommend a
Burton Zoom Pack. It's super-waterproof (took it out when I went snowboarding last month), it's amazingly well padded, enough to protect my gear when I somersaulted onto my back, and it has loads of room. I got mine for £60 from slideboardstore.co.uk but they're sold out now - should be able to find one on ebay. I carry a D200 + grip, 18-70mm, three flashes and a Siggy 70-200mm, along with a laptop (when I'm not boarding) and there's still bags of room to spare.
A good alternative is the
Dakine Mission - there's a guy selling one
here. It's a bit smaller than the Burton (but not by much) but has a lot of positive comments said about it. These are great outdoor packs to cope with super-bad weather.
I also used a
Kata DR465, a much smaller pack, but still very good. It's a split pack so the gear goes in the botom half and the top half carries valuables and filters etc. Could get my D200, 18-70mm and grip plus the 70-200mm in the bottom with the flash in the top half but it's not as padded, but if you're not doing extreme sports then you'll be fine. Plus, it's really, really comfortable to wear for long periods of time.
The Burton is deffo the biggest, roomiest, but I'd not be upset with the Dakine. The Kata is more of a light day-pack.
