Afternoon all,

Just a quick question with regards to the Lowepro Vertex 300. I'm looking at making a purchase as I have seen it for £90. However, I was wondering if anyone has ever had any problems when taking the bag on as hand luggage. I have checked the bag sizes against the baggage rules on the web and all appears fine but just not sure.

Cheers

There's a Kata R-103 going for sale on this forum. Awesome bag which is OK for carry on regulations and takes a laptop as well...

Mine 300aw has been away with me a few times without any issues, it's never been questioned

I suppose it depends who you're flying with as there are some slight differences between the airlines requirements

e.g. RyanAir is 55cm x 40cm x 20cm
FlyBe is 50cm, width 35cm and depth of 23cm

ETA - I usually find putting the bag at my feet whilst checking in stops any questions being asked...

Thanks all.

Buckas, do you think the flipside 400 would take my current kit:
Canon 450d plus battery grip
Canon 18-55
Canon 55-250
Sigma 17-70
Nifty fifty
and either a Sigma 120-400 or Sigma 150-500

I'm thinking the large sigma could be a problem.

Hairyduck, thanks for the input - thought the Vertex 300 looked like a good deal but it is classified just too big for the airline I'm travelling with.

Mah1880, good idea to keep the bag out of sight to prevent questions.

Markta, I am not eligible to buy on here yet as I have not reached 100 posts!!

Yes you can definitely buy:)
