Hello, got a dslr and 3 lenses at the min plus cards and battery's and tripod, I travel around a lot of places in the UK and abroad what would be the best bag for me and reasons would be helpful.
 
What camera and lens do you have?

Do you want a shoulder type or back pack style?

Finally what is you budget?

Got a canon 500d the biggest lens is a budget 55-250 looking for a back pack type price up to £50 thank you I'm
Only a beginner so go on my bike to places as I have no vehicle
 
Keep an eye on ebay for crumpler backpacks, you should be ok with a half photo and give you some space in the top half for other stuff. I picked up a full photo backpack last week for £28 and it was like new.
 
Might pick up a s/hand Flipside 400 for 50 quid

Just about all you could need, good kit section, room for bits and bobs incl lunch, 2 bottle holders, tripod holder, waterproof cover and straps to stow a waterproof.

I have had loads of bags, this is the best so far and not looking at anything else because just don't need to.
 
Bags are one of those things you have to try out, and I would imagine that a lot of us have had a few different types and sizes.
I used a shoulder bag for years, but now have a backpack, but have had 3 or 4 others along the way.
Buying used is well worth it as you can sell on without loosing too much if any money, and most people on here do seem to look after their equipment fairly well, but ebay or similar places are well worth a look. Get something bigger than you need, as you may well get more gear or need to pack other things.

As suggested above you have different options. I bought a very cheap bag from Amazon and I think 7day shop do it as well but it is quiet big. However I have also recently just bought a lowepro fastpack 100 as I did not want to carry all my lens with me and do like the bag.

So might be worth going into a shop and looking at the various bags available to see what you like.

Seconded regarding the Flipside 400.

I picked one up a couple of weeks back, as my Flipside 200 (itself only a couple of months old!) couldn't handle the ever growing kit list I seemed to be purchasing!!

A really good, safe and versatile bag imho.

Currently available for £72 picked up from Jessops using their online 10% discount for reserved items.
