Depends on the size and weight of tripod. I have a Lowepro Flipside 400 AW and it will only take a small sized light tripod. Manfrotto 190 and above need not apply. My poor Vanguard Alta Pro 263AT is way to big and heavy for my bag and it's in the Manfrotto 190/055 weight range (aluminum).
