Right,

I am sick of buying camera bags online, they arrive & you find that they are still to small.

So i ask of you all to help, bags you may have/had or seen.

I do a lot of on location shooting & just gone in to the wedding side of the business, so have 2 bags is no longer a task i would like.

I need to carry,
2 Bodys (d700, d5000)
3 Lenses (18-200mm, 50mm, 80mm)
1 Battery grip
6 Batteries
1 SB900 flash
6 Memory cards
1 Light meter
general space for small note pad/diary/pen act

I think thats everything :thinking:

It depends whether you want a back pack or shoulder bag.
I've just bought a Lowepro Stealth Reporter D550 which will take both my bodies,some lenses and a notebook plus other bits and bobs.

It has the advantage of top zipper access which means I can switch bodies quickly.

You may find you'll need the larger D650 because of your lenses, although the D550 I have is pretty big.
 
I've just brought a Tamrac Expedition 9x rucksack and its huge. Got 2 bodies, 5 lenses, 2 flashguns, converter, extension tube set, various accessories (4 cards, 8 cam batteries, 12 AA batteries, chargers and cables for both cams, etc.) and still managed to get a netbook inside. And there is still space for another 3 or 4 accessories as well. The only downfall is there is no proper pouch for the laptop/ netbook, but there is on the other Expedition series. Very well made and versatile but not the cheapest bag in the world.
 
take a look at www.cambags.com, pictures of just about every bag in the universe together with a list of what the picture shows, from that you can judge if your kit will fit.
 
I don't think there's any such thing as an ideal bag for all situations. A backpack type bag is a pain for weddings where you need constant access to get kit in and out. I used a large Tamrac shoulder bag for weddings which gave easy access to gear and carried two bodies and all the rest of the spare gear. I still have it after years of service. Pulls your shoulder out when it's full mind you. :shrug:

I have the 650 and use it for two 1DMKIV's 70-200mm,24-70, 2x 580exII's, 5 batteries, 1x4 TC, 2 battery packs for 580's and 3 spare battery trays...usual bits and bobs as well cleaning kit and there is a space for the laptop in the back too but I normally just have my CRB folder in there....In fact I bought it from a TP'er
 
I use a Tamrac Cyberpack 8 for times when I need both bodies with me, I used it at the weekend for a trip to Scotland and amongst numerous other bits it took a 1D Mk2 with 70-200 F4 IS and converter mounted and a 1Ds Mk2 with 24-105 F4 mounted, plus a Macbook Pro, loads of filter gear (including the large Lee wallet that takes 10 filters), tripod clipped on the side and even overnight gear in the front section.
 
Silly question, but have you popped into Jessop's/ local camera store with your equipment and tried the bag's out?

I did something similar before getting my Lowepro Nature Trekker II backpack - only took a few key bits of kit in a smallish bag, but figured out what I needed in the end.
