Hi!

I've been searching for a nice backpack for my dslr and tripod for quite awhile now and I still can't really decide so I need your help!

I need a waterproof backpack that can hold a tripod, a dslr with 3 lenses and a flash. With some more extra space leftover. Can anyone recommend me something that's good but not too expensive?

Thanks
Perry

I have a vanguard up-rise 45. It's a neat bag, doesn't look big, but it fits quite a bit. I can get:

D800 with up to a 70-200 attached, 3 more lenses, chargers, a flash unit [if you carry more than one you may need a bigger bag, or omit one lens] rocket blower, batteries, cards, cloths etc in the top compartment.

It's a great value bag and really nice quality. I prefer it to any of the lowepro bags I've tried. It has a rain cover, and side pocket and attachments for a tripod - providing it's not a big bulky one. My new giottos wouldn't fit there, but my old manfrotto did no problem.

They never came up for me in searches when I was looking either. The usual lowepro, think tank etc ... I just didn't like lowepro's style or build at all. I have a Think tank roller bag on order for travel, but the Vanguard is my general use bag. It's very comfortable and I love their quick access layout. They have larger models too, but they're obviously more expensive.

The first review on there is mine :D And looking back on that now I got it at a steal. It was only £60 when I bought it, but it's since gone up. Can only imagine that they're getting more popular.
