Camera battery fault

Going to state the bleeding obvious here, but you need a battery charged from a different charger to prove where the fault lies
Never had a charger go wrong, but first time for everything and very unlikely both of your batteries have died at the same time
So going for camera fault, have you updated the firmware lately? just a thought. The DC-DC board went on mine, its basically the power controller plus fuse, not an unknown fault and would be my best guess. Canon at Elstree do a fixed fee repair for 153 quid which includes a service and sensor clean, work guaranteed for six months too
Could try taking the battery, memory card and date/time cell out, leave for a while then give it a go. Sometimes the date/time cell goes and causes some unusual problems, might be worth changing that for a new one

Its looking like the Charger to blame, when first connecting battery to charger the red indicator light flashes on and off
then permanently on, when battery is fully charged I'm sure it use to displayed Green.
That's not happening anymore which points the fault at the Charger. Can anyone
Confirm Green light fully charged.

One of my 5D batteries just went on me,
Plug it into charger, slow flash, rapid flash, permanently on in about 20 seconds
Tried 2 chargers, the same on both, so time for a new battery

Just put a fully charged battery in both my chargers and it is a red light indicating full charge on both.

Had exactly the same problem once on a Nikon D3, you might want to try and find out if there is a known problem with your Canon called 'dead battery syndrome'.
On the Nikon it seemed to be a problem with particular lenses on the body. In my case a firmware upgrade did the trick. Some people reported cleaning the contacts on the lens and body fixed the problem. When I was looking into it in my case I also had people mention cleaning the battery contacts was sometimes the fix.
Anyway a few things you can try quickly, good luck.

Whilst camera is in for repair, should i ask for a service and sensor clean when completing the repair form, anything else i should ask for?

If you use Canon at Elstree the service/sensor clean is all part of the 153 quid fee, just state power problem on the form and explain about the empty battery display
Never used Fixation, but can't imagine it being a cheaper or better service than I have got at Elstree

No problem Chris, sure it will be sorted soon, my last repair came back in about ten days and that was over Christmas so pretty impressed really.
