Camera Body Hire

Does anybody know if I can hire a Sony A700 body from anywhere? I've looked at Calumet and 1 other place I can't remember the name of and they don't rent Sony. There's probably not a massive demand for it to be fair. I'm thinking of upgrading to the A700 but it's a sizeable chunk of money for me even at today's prices so I wouldn't mind renting one for a weekend to see what I get out of it before I splosh the dosh.

I don't think the A700 is expensive enough for any of the rental companies to bother with, tbh.

I'm not aware of any hire company in the UK that stocks Sony DSLR gear. There's just not eniugh demand for it. We'll always get a better return per £ invested by buying Canon and Nikon gear.

Now, if anybody knows a bigwig at Sony who would be willing to "help" us acquire some Sony kit, things might be different.....
