I was out the other night I started to chat to photographer very expensive kit, I tried to pick his brains, but he turned out to be German with “not to gooder” English.
He did say about colour settings, better on Adobe RGB than sRGB which is my default.
Can anyone give me any advice on this one??

Thanks Barry

In theory you could, with a properly colour managed work flow and very expensive printers, get better results from Adobe RGB than sRGB.

BUT and this is a big BUT, most people would not notice the difference.

I have seen it said a few times on here "if you have to ask you don't need it" the inference being that if your work requires it you will have realised already.

I certainly made and had made quite a few "junk" prints trying to get to grips with this in Photoshop and with my Epson printer. Eventually I gave up, re set everything to sRGB and spend a lot less time swearing at my printer.

The only thing I would recommend is to calibrate your monitor, not directly related to your question but much more fruitful and easier than dabbling with Adobe RGB.

Many thanks for quick replys, for my standard of photography I will just keep it on default

Thanks Barry

I have reset my camera to sRGB.

But as a learner its good to ask questions
