Is it possible to buy a Camera Cover that i can put over my camera wile it is around my neck to help keep it in good condition? I am not fussy about getting a bag at the moment, just something that will keep the camera clean and free from dust attacks!

Still looking for a cover as i don't have a camera bag yet.
 
Thanks but not looking for a 'skin' for the camera, just a loose cover that would go over the camera while carrying it around.

:thinking: Why would you want something that will hinder you getting to the controls and not really offer any protection at all....:shrug:

Got a sense of humour but quite a few people have been slagging me off and kicking me while down in this place so it makes me edgy. Even had some nasty PM's off of one guy!
 
Like I said, give us a clue as to what you mean by a "cover" what else is out there other than bags or skins!!:shrug:

its because you are asking for somethign and saying the things you dont want which is everything out there. There is nothing really for people to suggest any more.

that is the only thing I can think of tooo..... but if all these kind people have searched google to find these things for you, why cant you do it yourself instead of posting 3 posts in this thread and expecting others to do it for you?

may be he thinking of the brown leather cases we had years gone by, the front bit over the lens dropped down.

Koolpc, define 'cover' please, because what is available is bags, small snug fit ones all the way up to large kit bags. Rain covers, which are generally a waterproof 'tapered tube' that fits round lens hood, covers lens & camera and has access for hands at the back [closest to what you seem to want]. Finally there are the armour bodies, as linked above, but I suspect that isn't what you want and probably comes under the heading 'skins'.

I would also venture to suggest a sense of humour might help you make friends round here, honestly ;)
 
Unlike some on this thread I will try to help you.

I know a number of folk who use binoculars in all weathers & they have had made up for them a simple flap of soft leather. There are two slots in it to let the straps pass through & the "flap" them simple goes over the binoculars to keep water/dirt away from the glass. Maybe you could get something like that made up for you by a leather worker.:shrug:
 
Trouble with those ever ready cases is that they are never ready. By the time you faff about opening the thing the sun has gone & the moon is out.:lol:

Couldn't agree more, by the time you have the camera in your mitts the scene has changed and the opportunity has gone!

Thats why they were usually referred to as NeverReady cases
