Beginner Camera damage

Hi everyone,
I just bought my first SLR film camera and it had some dust / dirt on the mirror and translucent screen on the inside. I gently used a microfibre cloth to wipe the dirt off, will I have damaged the camera?

I was lightly touching it, the camera is a Canon A-1 SLR.
