Camera dead, who best for body hire?

I have just found out my backup body is dead. I am shooting an important event in a couple of weeks and although my body will be out to canon for repair today, I am not sure that it will be back in time.

Firstly what are Canon Elstree like on repair times?


Secondly I am starting to think about a plan B in case it doesn't turn up.

Who would you all recommend for reliable (pref cheap) camera body hire? I am looking for Canon, 40D ideally.

ANy help would be appreciated,
