Hello

Recently Sold my 450D due to money issues but now ive sorted things out, I wanna get back into photography to do some personal studio work at home.

I am looking at getting the Lencarta 3 head + background setup

I was going to go for a 2nd hand 40D on here combined with a Tamron 17-50mm and Nifty fifty, which would cost around £750 total

However, I have seen the Sony A450 at Comet for £299 and having owned a Sony A200 in the past, I did quite miss it when moving to Canon.

My question is, what would be better for studio work the Canon or the Sony?

Im not fussed about the availability of lenses etc as I will stick with the ones listed above which cost the same regardless of the body make.

Cheers

Laurie

The A450 does not have a sync socket for studio flash that I can see, so you'd need to buy an adapter to plug into the hotshoe (£10 on ebay from China or about £100 from Sony).

If you buy the Sony you'll be able to buy Zeiss glass to go with it, when money permits. Or (say) the Sony 16-105 for £339 from John Lewis and the 50/1.8 for a little over £100 from various places.
