Yes
I posted some time back regarding a bit of bad luck while on holiday, had a fall and hit the deck with my D90 and lens. The lens was written off there and then :'( however I was not sure about the camera sustaining any damage.

Latest is, my insurance had the D90 and kit lens (18 - 105) collected for assessment, today the company (iVal) have contacted me to say the camera is being sent on to an authorised repairer for repair. The kick in the balls is…this will be a minimum of 28 days  The lens is to be replaced and on back order with their supplier.

Problem is I have a wedding coming up, I am not the wedding tog, god forbid. Thing is it is my niece, my daughter is chief bridesmaid and my son an usher...apart from wanting to get photographs of them I am also expected to provide the unofficial family wedding album for all to drool over :shake:

So it looks like I will have to hire a body, D90 or D300 for a couple of days at the end of the month.

Anybody know of a good reliable and reasonable place to hire DSLR cameras? I am OK for lenses just need a camera.

cheers....Kevin.

any local camera shop could potentially be great for hire.

Calumet do hire services aswell but maybe more pricey than an independant, lenses for hire aswell for the lens, dont think they do bodies mind :(

Thanks for the links etc.

Calumet looks good and I have one in Liverpool and one in Manchester, they are doing a weekend hire for the price of a day, I need it from the Thursday to the Saturday which is a bummer so I might miss out on that one.

Might hire a good lens as well, If there was one lens you would take to a wedding what would it be?

I have already a 18 - 70 and a 50 f1.8.
