Any recommendations where to hire a D700 from?

I'm happy to recomend HireACamera.com. (For cameras only, of course!) There are other places where the words "barge-pole" and "not" spring to mind, but I know the folks who run HireACamera and they have a real commitment to customer service.

or alternatively, Calumet, they are by no means cheap and you have to have a deposit almost to the value of the equipment, but they are reliable and have good availabilty. 'Sadly' I no longer use them, as I only ever hire lenses and I have Stewart for that now
