Camera inner mirror has a blue tint?

Been doing fog shots today and using different lens's however i know notice the mirror inside the camera has a blue tint to it. Is this normal?

Yes, Neil, that's normal. Mirrors are coated for a variety of optical reasons, as well as to minimize dust on its surface.

Well it looks as if the mirror is smeared and the viewfinder mirror has fabric on it... grrr
