If you do a search for 'insurance' you'll get more results and more information than I could ever sum up in one post. Basically what you'll find is:

1. E&L are too pedantic to ever get a payout
2. Photoguard seem o.k, I've seen a few people claim and some get results quickly, others have had to wait a while.
3. The pros usually reccommend 'Aaduki' (or something similar), or a couple of other ones with similar sounding names/
4. Too few people have actually had to claim to be able to build up a properly decent view on which are good and which are bad.

At first I didn't really bother. Then I went on holiday, and had a think about how much it was going to cost me if I got all my stuff stolen. Then I got insurance as quickly as I could! I'm covered up to £2.5k I think, and it costs about £10 a month. Well worth it to be honest, it gives me peace of mind at least!
