Hi all,

This has probably been covered before, but here goes.

Is it better to insure your camera and equipment with a specialist insurer or will the household policy be good enough. If you prefer a specialist, what would you recommend?

Cheers
Greg

I think the answer to that one depends - if your house policy covers you for items away from the home and provides enough cover then why buy a seperate policy?

If it doesn't then a seperate policy is a good plan. Aaduki are good, but others will also recommend different policies

Thanks, I think I will check my household policy and see what it covers.

be careful with your household policy. I had to specifically get the cover increased from the standard £500 max to £5000

thanks, yer, I think I'll phone them and check. Is yours covered on personal items or have you stated camera equipment in the policy?

Thanks Neil, I check and see what my car insurance covers.
