Sorry if this has been covered but I have tried to search for similar threads.
Anyway, I am after a bag to carry 40d body, 50mm prime, 70-200mm, 24-70mm, flash gun and Netbook. Plus assorted chargers, batteries, memory cards, cables etc...also needs to be suitable as hand luggage.
I currently have a mini trekker AW.
ANy suggestions ?

This is covered a lot. I like the FStop Gear range of bags, Guru would fit the bill. Think Tank also make good bags, with ones sized for airline carry on. Others on here also recommend the Crumpler range.
 
search for the best prices on crumpler but make sure its big enough to take all the lenses, you can get full photo or half photo
 
You could look at the Tamrac range. Pleanty of different styles and sizes to ponder over.

lowepro fastpack 250 would do it. I have a 200 and it would also fit, but the chest strap on the 250 is a nice improvement.
 
I've got the Tamrac Evolution 8 and can't recommend it enough. It fits my 550D, 18-55mm, 55-250mm, 50mm, my 15" laptop, and has plenty of room for more lenses, flash guns, and accessories. It seems large but will fit as carry on luggage on all but the tightest airlines (budget airlines may consider it too big I guess). It can also be worn as a rucksack or slung over either shoulder, and with 3 ways to access your equipment, it's an awesome bag. I love it :)

I'd say not actually. I have the 250 and, whilst it's a great bag, there's no way on earth I'd put my netbook in the laptop section at the back as it'd get beaten to death as the weight of the bag slapped against your back whilst walking.

I've seen this problem with a lot of bags which have dedicated sections for laptops/netbooks - they always seem to be at the "back" of the bag where they're going to get sandwiched between you and the rest of your gear. Netbooks tend to be very plasticy and quite fragile compared to full blown laptops in my experience and I wouldn't want to subject one to that kind of abuse.

I guess if the netbooks are not tough enough it could be a problem. Then again, if it is small enough it can go in the top open compartment.

Personally, I always have at least one laptop in the laptop compartment, my camera in the bottom, and depending where I am or what I'm doing an assortment of lenses and accessories. This last trip to China I had two laptops in the computer section, camera, computer chargers, accessories, and a change of clothes in the bottom, and various other goodies in the top. Pack was definitely over the carry on limit for weight, but I wasn't stopped. It carries great, except the 200 doesn't have the chest strap so I tend to keep my hands on the straps.

My Samsung N110 definitely isn't strong enough to be subjected to that kind of weight crushing it against my back as I walk and it's just too big to fit in the top compartment :(
 
my macbook pro does just fine in the back of my fastpack 250. As long as it is put in with the base against your back i think its safe
