Camera or memory card problem?

Can anyone shed any light on this please?

It happened about a year ago too, only 4 or 5 images but they all showed that distinctive banding.

Last week on holiday the same happened again, only two images this time?

Is it a fault in the camera or a memory card?

I would try another card, the price of memory cards is so low its not worth sticking with it.

If the problem remains it is the camera.

Had this issue with a USB cable which corrupted some images while copying them onto the pc. If I copied the file again from the card using another reader/cable then the file was ok.

You sure it's not a long exposure using an ND filter and a car drove past?

If it's just this pic and not all of them in the same place, I'd say a duff memory card.
