Your certainly right there Jeff about the phones, although I must be amongst the small minority that don't use a mobile. A nice nicely coloured and sharp shot.

The quality of today's mobile phone camera's has certainly come along way. I use a macro lens on my iphone, and it's surprisingly phenomenal for what it is.

Smartphones are so good now I am of the opinion that unless one is doing some sort of specialised photography that these phone cameras are now perfect for 75% of the photos the the vast majority of people need.I see stacks of people with DSLR's that don't need them and/or don't know how to use the extra facilities that are available to give better photos than that from a smartphone.DSLR will become a specialised tool used by a minority of people as time passes.
