Camera recommendation

hi

a friend of mine needs a camera that will display time and date in the .JPG without having to add it after via the exif data .
can anyone make a recommendation bearing in mind he is looking for something like a bridge camera or high end point and shoot .

Hi, do you mean to show the date / time superimposed on the photo automatically when printed out ?

yes , on the .jpeg so he can email it without having to make any changes .

It is called 'time stamping.'

Since most digital files have this embedded in the exif the feature is no longer default on most cameras.

Although Id be surprised if there isn't some kind of script that can do this afterwards in batches.

Adobe Lightroom can put file names etc onto photos so wouldn't be surprised if it could do dates too?

As ACW says, most will probably offer this, our little Panasonic compact offers it - you switch it on / off in one of the menu functions (not sure it was mentioned in the product info when we bought it - wasn't important, so didn't matter). Probably best to decide on budget, then look and choose a model or 2 and go from there...
