Camera settings for Blackpool lights

I will be taking my young son to see the illuminations at Blackpool next week.

Can anyone offer me any tips on what the best settings would be to capture the lights in the darkness.

Experiment - take a shot, chimp it & then switch to manual and adjust until you get what you want. It's really difficult to say - I'd probably start by metering on -3 stops EC and see what happened.

Sorry to not be more help, but playing chimping and adjusting is probably the best plan.
