Hi all

Does anyone know where I can buy the screws (1/4" manfrotto) that attach a camera base plate to the camera

Many thanks

eBay????????

How about a complete camera that is listed as spares or repair on Ebay. Just had a look and there are some under a tenner with BIN incl postage

Sure you can pick one up even cheaper if you use the regular auction format

Thanks Rich :) I doubt I would get one with a camera! The screw I'm after is used to attach a Manfrotto quick release plate to the camera.

if you're not after removing it regularly (ie having the little loop for doing it up with your finger) a hardware store will have one that works, just dont get over enthusiastic with the spanner!

Cheap tripod form Ebay, or cheap QR plate, and take the screw out.

Dave.

is it manfrotto specific r a general 1/4 inch screw that goes through the base of the QR plate into the body thereby attaching the QR plate to the body........

Might be worth a cheeky call to Manfrotto UK, and if you strike lucky a chance one or two out in the post to you gratis..........

Just a thought......

Okay, thanks everyone for the suggestions  It's a bit strange that these aren't easily available as it can't be just me who loses them :D This screw I need fits the MN501PL plate and several others and allows the plate to slide to balance the camera. Usually a 1/4" and 3/8" are supplied so you have to remove one or the other  Calling manfrotto sounds like a good idea

Thanks again

Sorry, wrong end of the stick, thought you meant the bit that secured a camera base to the rest of the body

I bought a bag of them a while ago and still have lots PM me your address and I will send you a couple. You may need to cut them down to the length you want. :)
