Hi, I am looking for a camera support that I can clamp to a grab rail on a boat and mount the camera on, it needs to be sturdy and work well, the boat will be doing upto 40mph. Anyone have any ideas or is this going to be a DIY job. Thanks in advance.

are you sure
at that speed you'll get a lot of vibration
apart from blurry shots
you could damage the camera
hand held is better
you become a damper

imho

What kit do you want to mount on it?
Probably my Fuji s7000 or the D80

I am looking at mounting the camera facing backwards to get shots of pilot and wake. Could try hand holding but will be in the way of seeing where we are going.

Thanks for the thoughts

suggest you need a driver and a tog
=2 person crew! :)

It will be a 2 man crew, I didn't word it very well, If I am stood infront of the console in a 5.2 metre rib the driver will be looking at me and not where he is going:LOL: I am sure he would rather be looking where we are going than at my ugly mug.:D
