This morning with the fog all around I could not wait to get out and decided to go into the back garden just to get a couple of first shots. Got as far as the second step, which turns out to be covered in black ice. My two feet went into the air, camera flew out of my hand and I landed very painfully. My wife and daughter came running into kitchen hearing my screems asking if I was ok. All I could say is get my camera, is it ok, as I struggled to pull myself up.
This is the first time I have dropped my Canon 10d in over six years, and despite a couple of minor scratches, it appears to be in normal working order.
Unfortunately I have several more scratches and bruises, but my wife says I can't be that bad, as I forced myself to go with my camera to the park today (A couple of pics posted in Landscape section).
My wife just does not understand how important it is to try and get a decent picture.
