Camera Travel Insurence?

Anyone got any recommendations

I'm off to Majorca next week and am taking a fair chunk of my gear just wondering what insurance to get or if there are any travel insurances that would cover me & my gear? My mates insurance only covers him + £1000 of stuff which wont even cover 1 piece of glass.

I use my household insurance, holiday insurance is crap.

Im covered by E&L. My main fear was always the payout if my stuff got nicked.

2 years ago I was in Botswana crossing over into Namiba when ALL my gear go nicked at the boarder.

That was 25K worth of Canon gear with pro lens etc. Peli cases with gps hidden inside to track.

Did they find my kit? did the f***

3 weeks after I got back E&L paid out the full 25k.

So I reckon there good ... for me

I claimed on Holiday insurance long time ago for my A1 BUT the insurance company then claimed on my house insurance. What was I paying for?
