On Sunday I was shooting at an athletics match, I arrived early and wandered around to the Hammer cage, set the camera to manual exposure dialled in te settings and took a shot. In te LCD it looked well underexposed, so I dropped the shutter speed a little to compensate, still underexpose, looked at the histogram and it looked o/k adjusted settings again took another shot, still very dark. I checked all the settings again and was scratching my head as to what the problem was when I realised I still had my sunglasses on :bang:

LOL. I did this exact same thing not too long ago. A real :bang: moment :)

well :amstupid: let me  aww just noticed :bonk: you had sun gasses on  :gag:
still a good one

processor isnt responding to your signals...

either that or the iris on the lens is stuck shut or the indexing tab isnt moving with the aperture selector ring

pure guesswork...and more in line with 35mm mechanical stuff

in bright light the little lcd will always look darker - so you have two choices:
- trust the histogram
- turn up the screen

What was just said up there ^ trust the histogram! :D and also the cameras exposure scale

I have caught the EV compensation thing before and not noticed for a few shots.. :-(
