Camera with external mic for video and stills - £300

My brother is a music teacher and he is after something better than his phone for recording teaching videos etc., ideally with an external mic socket and he would also like to take stills. I know very little about video so any suggestions welcome. He would consider second hand but the budget is fairly fixed at £300

That's what I was thinking but which one? OM10 is another alternative but I'm not too clued up on what's good for video.

Now you've got me. I'd suggest checking the specs to make sure the camera has the features required - mic and or headphone sockets etc., and the kind of screen (flippy or otherwise) that the user prefers/needs.
