Camera's and windows 7 problem

Sorry if in wrong section but seems about right.
Since up grading from XP to Windows 7 i can not get my Canon 50d or 400d to install on pc, Zoombrower etc install but no drivers for the bodies, Just says no drivers needed or non available:bang:.
Anybody else had this problem and over come it and can advice please.

Try uninstalling zoombrowser etc. reboot and then connect a camera to a usb port, see what windows7 does?

I've never connected my camera to the pc, always used a card reader but I do see that there are some circumstances where you'd need to.
 
Have you got Autoplay switched on in Windows 7?

Control Panel / Autoplay / tick the "Use Autoplay for all media and devices" box at top of page.
 
I never had any issues getting my 50D to hook up to Windows 7 64 bit both with and without Canon software.

Dont know if its me with fat heavey handed fingers but i always end up bending the pins over with a CR.

Have you seen if there are specific drivers from canon?
When ive searched on the canon site it just says no driver needed.

Just checked that m8 and it was already ticked .

You're not using Windows 7 "N" by any chance are you? This is the one with out Media Player and a few other bits. One of the missing components is a host protocol driver for imaging devices.

Yes amjad175 i am using Windows 7 N , The update you posted as fixed the problem, Many thanks m8.
