I have one. They are not bad for the money, bit plasticy but reasonably sturdy for a medium sized slr. For under a tenner it's a good deal.

What is the max weight it can take please? not the weight of the tripod itself

Sorry, no idea, even Camlink's own site don't have that info.

I'm just getting it to support flash/subject so not a worry for me.
