Hi all,
I’m considering a Camranger to use with my D810. Getting down low is now quite difficult for me, sadly old age and creaky joints make it painful to get into position. The Camranger seems to be a possible solution, although I will have to sacrifice the flexibility of my L bracket. My question is how folks actually work with it in the field? Short of sprouting a third arm, I’ll need something to hold my iPad or iPod touch whilst I adjust the camera.
Can anyone suggest a suitable mount or explain their own way of working?
Many thanks. :)

Trevor, did you ever get any further with your thoughts on getting the CamRanger? I think I'm starting to develop the same "creaky joints" and also looking for an alternative to live view.

I also have knee(leg) problems, so just don't get down at all.

Mike, I’ve replied to your PM.
Briefly, for anyone else who may be interested, I bought one and it works very well. I looked into tripod holders but found nothing suitable. I ended up getting a geared head so I can hold the iPod Touch in one hand and adjust the composition with the other. This won’t work for everyone, but for me, doing landscapes, it saves my old knees.
