can all sigma lenses be chipped?

On eBay there are loads of sigma 400mm ef fit lenses go really cheap because you can't change the aperture on digital cameras. Is it possible to get them chipped. How much. Is it worth it. Does the af still work on them?
 
I had a 120-300mm re chipped by Sigma for around £25 - assume they can do em all!

I have an old Sigma 70-300mm lens which I gather needs ‘re-chipping’ to work on my new Canon digital SLR. Can this be done?
The majority of lenses we can rechip. However there are a few older lenses which we are unable to re-chip due to parts no longer being available. In order to answer your question, we need to determine which 70-300mm lens you have. If you look at the lens, is the Macro switch held on by two screws? Or does it state 'Super' on the unit?

Yeah I just did a Google search and found a comment off someone asking about the 400 and they were told there were no spares for that lens. Sucks. Still I saw one going for 125. Even stuck at 5.6 that might not be bad if the af works

Ok so I have the chance of one of these but without the chip. Suggestions?
 
Call Sigma direct and ask, they were very helpful when I had problems with a lens.
