Can anyone recommend a mono pod for under £100 including head.

As above. Looking for a mono pod to help with those non IS lenses.
Giottos MM9150 do some searching and you will find one well within your budget and they are excellent quality too!
Also Redsnapper do one not sure of price but there stuffs really good.

Redsnapper ?

Manfrotto 679 (£39.95)and a 234RC2 head (£26.99). Prices from Mifsuds - you may find cheaper.

Most manfrotto with the RC2 monopod head would do you for about £ 60.

Really monopods only really become useful once you are using a lens with its own tripod ring - better balance. Otherwise I find it more trouble than its worth.

I am happy with my manfrotto 860b + 234RC2 head (£65 from jacobs).

It is useful when panning and if you want to hold a heavy lens reasonably steady for long periods of time, but can be a bit restrictive

Thanks guys. Is there no point in getting a monopod for smaller non is lenses? Should i just stick with the tripod?

I've got a Manfrotto mono, which is great, but based on my experience of the Redsnapper tripod I'm sure their mono's would be very good.
