... thank you to all you lovely folks for being so helpful and patient :)

It's with all your help that I'm beginning to feel more confident with my camera (and thanks for your help in choosing it of course).

I realise I've got a long way to go yet, plenty of learning to do, but it's all great fun! It's with your help that I'm managing to improve my skills, and although, my photos still aren't that good they are I think getting better.

To top it all I've actually started getting more positive comments on my blog about my photos and they're getting more frequently accepted on sites such as TasteSpotting and FoodGawker (food photo sites).

I remember seeing your blog a few weeks ago KG and what I have seen here from you more recently has been so much better, well done you for sticking with it too :clap:

I've noticed the improvement, you've come on in leaps and bounds. The same happened to me after I signed up, I'm still fairly poor but I now have many more occasions when a picture turns out like I imagined it would before I took it. Its a great place is cyberspace.

There is no doubt that this is my favourite forum on the net.
I will be meeting up with one of two other members on Friday and and a few more on Saturday evening.
This place is great for it's friendliness and the help those with vast experience give.
It's nice to have like minded people who are willing to meet up to do shoots and help us beginners out.

I agree with what people are saying.

Despite a love of food, I'm also rubbish at food photography. I tried to take a shot of a fruit salad as a filler shot at my mother-in-law's birthday last weekend and I forgot to adjust my ISO setting, so it turned out all grainy. And then the subject material was irreversibly, umm, disturbed...
