right i brought a lens on amazon a 50mm 1.8 which was great, until my husband drop it nothing major but enough to brake it. The focus ring came out.
So off i went to buy another at the digital deport in Stevenage about a month ago.
I took my old lens to see if it could be fix but would cost as much a new one so i brought a new one.
I had not used it until the other day i put in on the camera and went to focus and couldn't i looked at the lens and it has happen again the focus ring broken!!! i thought i had the old lens on so i got the old one out and no that was also broken!!
I haven't dropped it or anything haven't even got it out the box.
Now if i take it back they are going to think its the old lens i showed them!!!
What shall i do?

There's a fair chance that when you go in they'll aready be aware of this - they do frequent this forum after all.

I hope they do take it back and replace it. Let us know what happens -perhaps with a review on their customer service.

Surely if it had been dropped it would show signs of damage apart from the focus ring.

I did it!!! I took it back, walking in the shop does funny things to me!!
They gave me a credit note as they didn't have a 1.8 left so i ended up smiling very nicely at my husband and got the 1.4 . I was like a kid at Christmas.
