Can I transfer data on my wi fi network?

I have 2 PC's and I have pictures on 1 that I want to transfer to the other PC. Both are connected to my wi fi router and can both access my wi fi printer which is on the network.

Can I transfer the pictures between each PC without having to load onto memory cards / stick and manually transfer them?

Dropbox is perfect for such tasks

You actually store them on the Dropbox servers, and each machine has a Dropbox 'folder' on it (accessible through Finder/Explorer) where you have access to the files.

If you want them on your actual hard disc, just drag and drop.

Yes... Share the folder the images are in and copy. Right click on the folder for the sharing options.

I have set up the wireless network on each computer, but I am not able to access the other computer, although I can see the icon in 'my computer' under 'networks'.

There's no password on either computer, so not sure what is the issue - Any ideas?

** Edit ** Managed to sort it cheers folks. Had to change a couple of settings, such as allowing access to public files and stopping passwords. Moved the pics into the public files on one PC, collected them from the next one!! Ingenious!!
