Can I Upgrade The RAM In This iMac?

Hi all,

Pretty clueless when it comes to computers. I have purchased a Nikon D610 which is not compatible with Lightroom 4. So I am about to upgrade to Lightroom 5 but I've noticed it recommends 4 GB of RAM. At the moment i only have 2 GB but I'm unsure if I can upgrade the RAM or not. Ive tried looking at the Apple site and googled it but I'm still unsure. Some say yes, some say no. So if anyone can help me with a) a yes or no answer and b) a link to what I need I would be very grateful.

I've also been looking into this. 6gb has been done and works fine but applenonly recommend 4 for some reason. Plenty of YouTube videos about it Iain.

run the crucial scanner it will tell you what you have and what you can go up to hth mike.

I agree about the Crucial scanner. I upgraded my Mid 2011 21.5 inch iMac from 4gb of ram to 16gb!!

Must admit was in Currys yesterday and was looking at a 27inch iMac. Hmm when I decide to replace my present iMac the larger one might be a possibility.
