Hi all,

Loving my tamrac adventure 75 but its just not big enough! This is what I want to carry;

Gripped 20D
100-400L
70-200L
Sigma 10-22
Sigma 17-70
Canon 85 and 50mm
Speedlight
5x batteries
4x CF cards
Lens cloth
Lens pen
Gorillapod
Water bottle
Sandwiches
Jumper/light jacket
Monopod and/or tripod
Assorted Cokin filters, hoods and general stuff

Aside from coat and sandwiches all of that goes in my current bag, if I can find one that will also take my 15" Vaio even better!

I take it you like a free pass to the local Gym as well ?

Sorry I can't help you with a case, I'm trying to reduce what I carry to the bare minimum :D
 
I've got a Tamrac Cyberpack 8 which would fit all that gear no problem.

On a recent trip to Scotland it carried the following:

Canon 1Ds with 24-105
Canon 1D Mk2
Mamiya 645AFD with 80mm f2.8
Spare film backs, film etc
50mm f1.8
430 exII
Spare batteries, filters, GPS logger etc etc
Macbook Pro
Rocket blower, radio triggers, cable releases, spirit levels etc

It still had plenty of room left in the main area, and the whole of the front area empty.

Crikey, these recommend a bag threads are so fricking boring. Can't people think for themselves any more?
 
You may also consider backpacks for example Canon 200EG or it's cheaper brother, AmazonBasics. It's few pounds cheaper, the quality is the same and it doesn't look like a camera bag/backpack, which I personally like.
 
Thanks for the pointers guys, I think I'm decided on the larger Tamrac Adventure 10 but it was a close run thing. I like it because its just like my bag but with a bit on top and a bit round the back for the laptop, but still has the mesh pockets and colour indicator flags for battteries and cards. I have looked at the flipside before but just found it awkward doing the straps off and twist thing to get inside.
Cyberpack 8 had space for everything and was very nice, but no space for coat and sandwiches and with the pod strapped to the outside jackets are just in the way.
I just couldn't work out the fstop loka and didn't like the styling of it, looks to be a good bag, but just not my bag.

Yeah and having no money after buying the wrong bag is pretty fricking boring as well....... nowhere in the rules does it not say you can take advantage of the wealth of knowledge on talk photography and ask a question. As Cris said nobody made you read the thread but you must be very boring to come back with such a facetious reply.

Boring or not people ask because they think that others may have the experience needed to give a good judgement on what they need.

I'd go for the Tamrac too. I've got a 400AW flipside but I'm not entirely happy with it. The capacity is fine with extra pouches, but it's awkward to "flip" the cover completely open because the straps get in the way and you put strain on the ends of the open zips if you try to hold it open. Also, the back pouch doesn't open far enough for my liking. I find myself routing and fumbling about without being able to see what I want.
That said, it is a comfortable bag to carry, but I still wish I'd gone Tamrac.
Oh and I wish I'd referred to these boring posts for some guidance before I impulsively spend a not insignificant sum of money on a bag.

Hi I use a slingshot 200 aw but I have just orderd the kata 3n1 30 as I hope to add a few more bits of kit even though i'm a real nooblie :)

I shall let you know how things go when Canon have stuff in stock :lol: i.e 7d

He kinda has a point though there are billions of what bag threads if you search for them, we get about 5 a week :lol:
