Can this be fixed

Probably, but it would be a lot cheaper just to buy another one. Best thing to do with that is stick it up on Ebay, someone will buy it for spares....
 
Anything can be fixed. Whether you want to pay for it to be fixed is another issue.

Pretty sure it would cost more to fix than just buy a second hand one of ebay.
 
you can get 2nd hand ones for a little over £30 on the bay, I know I bought one

it would probably cost more than that to have a shop look at it never mind repairing it.

bend and twist it back into shape, its all plastic, will bend, it will go back with a plasticky 'crack' you might break it...

but I've done 2 that have been on EOS1000Ds and fallen over when on a tripod. They both snapped back into shape, they seemed a bit rough in use but worked ok and focussed fine. IF it breaks your no worse off.
 
Had a Nikon zoom in similar state after I whacked it off a wall carrying the camera over my shoulder.

I just whacked it off a table in the other direction n it worked fine again.
