Basically i chopped all my mums hair off this evening and she wanted a nice photo, but she was then like ooo look at the bags under my eyes etc..etc....

this is the orignal photo

this is my attept at processing, (only minor )
also i would like to get rid of the shadow but i cant figure out how to do that

i thought my attempt was alright but looking at that one mines naff lol really appricate it :)

could you explain how you did it please :)
 
cropped,selected around head/shoulders, feathered, cloned out shadow,used a plugin to smooth face, sharped eyes, adjusted levels. hey presto!!!. if you want to send me the raw file i am willing to do a full edit. (nowt on t.v tonight), well i can try anyway...lol

just had a quick 5 mins on it i think you are somewhat limited with the low resolution...
