can you reccomend a monopod (not expensive)

I am currently looking for a monopod. I have not had one before and not sure what to look for.It needs to be light. would appreciate some help.
 
Unsure but Digital photographer mag was offering a manfrotto if you subcribed. offer may of finished but could be wrong. Sturdy too i have it.

I was just about to post about this offer as mine arrived today from subscribing about two weeks ago and very nice it is too. Unfortunately it seems to have expired when following the link in the below thread.

I can't give you advice on which monopod Pat as I am yet to try this out, however I can confirm that Redsnapper gear seems top quality and I believe they have some offers on :)
