Canada - Some Elk outside the window, Jasper

So you are laying in bed just waking up and an Elk walks past the window. What can you do but get dressed quick and grab the camera!
I get outside and get the shutter button pressed before it can run away.... and the camera says beep beep beep as the self timer starts its coundown. Don't you just hate it when that happens!

Turns out I needn't have rushed as there were a few Elk about.

Fortunately he was not bothered by me clicking at him.

Heading off towards the river. It was a bit nippy as his breath shows.

Lol, great story Robert, had me giggling out loud it did...the timer, haha, not done that one myself, yet.

... looks like your staying in some superb scenery, bit like camping in the new forest, only with 1st class accommodation and with Elk instead on ponies...

Great spread, I think the last is my favorite, very nice light in that one.

Nice shots, i've yet to see any elk in the wild yet although I have seen quite a few of the other local fauna.

I've also done the timer thing loads.

nope, have to admit, the timer has yet tripped me up, but no doubt it will at some point.

Great captures Robert and like Adam, there is something about the last one that I particularly like.
