Candid lens attachment

I was stumbling though some photo gear tagged web pages using stumbleupon and found this contraption...

Not a bad idea for those who lack confidence to go out and point a camera straight at someone. Would anyone buy one though?

they're a great idea, I'm saving for one, but I seem to remember reading somewhere that they're not really allowed or something? I'm sure other members know if thats true?

Wow I remember this thing years ago might be a fun thing but how good is the mirror? also remember to flip your image after or it be back to front

I had one (sold on here a while back), the mirror isn't great quality, but with a bit of practice you can get some half-decent shots with it. You just have to be careful where the fake part of the lens is pointing - I used mine to take some candid shots of a guy in a kilt posing away like an eejit, but when I looked to where the fake lens was pointing there was a group of young girls sunbathing :nono:
