hello all, let me introduce myself first, im paul, and im new so go easy :D

been wanting to get into photography for a while now but due to other commitments i couldnt afford to spend a few hundred quid on a DSLR/lenses/accessories.

then i stumbled across this on a car forum, just wanting to know your opinions on it, doesent seem too bad for me and the finance seems pretty good.

what do you think, a good first camera, worth the money? or do you suggest something else...

sorry i know theres proberbly been hundreds of people asking what camera shal i get for my first camera ect...

also wasnt sure were to put this so mods if you think this is in the wrong section feel free to move :)

would you say its worth it for the money, looks pretty good to me, but as i said im pretty new to the whole DSLR thing.


whats the 1000d like? much cheeper?

Get the 1100d with kit lens then buy other lens later if you need it!

by with kit lens do you mean the one i linked up in th o/p or something like this with just the one 18-55mm lens
 
When I first started, I was looking at this camera, although it really isn't that much more for the 550D less than a hundred quid, (which is a world away) so I thought to myself, I've already done the hard part in raising this much, what's an extra £80 (Jessops) or just under £340 (body) new on ebay. I absolutely love this camera, it's so much more than you need as an amateur to experienced photographer.

So if your looking for a camera bear it in mind, it's awesome!!!
Every pic on my Flickr was taken with my 550D and the 2 kit lenses.... (18-55 IS EFS & 55-250 IS EFS)
