hi i have just bought a canon 1d3 and i carnt get flash to work with ex flash can any one point me i n the right direction please
 
Funnily enough I was thinking that myself.

Matt does it work on any other Canon body ?
 
Check in the custom functions whether firing the flash has been switched off, in fact do a factory reset and then work through all the customisations yourself. It'll help you understand the camera better.
 
Matthew if you get really stuck I'm not too far from you, you could pop round and try your flash on my 1d3.
 
thanks for that chris i have tried a canon 580 and that is ok so maybe the nissin isnt any good with the 1d3 also thanks phil,and brian.
 
hi brendan it just has di622 speedlight works ok on my 50d yes i would sell it if your interested in it
 
sounds like the mark 1 matthew, is the on off button a round or more rectangular shape and is the mode writing colour or white






*mods please note if it is the mark 2 then of course will do the deal in the classified section as per normal

I think it is mark 1
 
shame that i was only after a mark 2 matt :(

anyway back to the op

if you have another flash why dont you use it to fire as a slave optically
