Cannot open raw files from my new 40D??

[andy_fozzy]

Hi all.
Just took delivery of my 40D

But now ACR and CS3 won't open my raw files.
I've installed the Canon Codec, but Windows don't show the image on the thumbnail either

I'm sure there's something obvious I'm not doing........

[andy_fozzy]

Sorry scrap that!
I've open and played with the raw files in ACR! Dunno why it didn't work at first

BUT, Windows in still not showing the pic in the thumbnail??

Andy install Canon's DPP I use it all the time, so easy and a joy to use Mate, and PS for the more involved stuff

Hey Andy... you know... Canon cameras are great for Astro work... easily modded to remove the IR filter... ... Then all you need is a telescope or tracking mount
