How much does a 2nd hand 10d with grip batteries in Mint condition with 4 - 5 CF cards ranging from 64Mb - 256mb go for these days.

Reason being im thinking of selling my back up. I never once have done anything in photography that dramatically needed me to have a back up and having gone for the 30D body with the bigger screen and looking at the 10d screen a back up body i would rather have the 30D as a back up.

Can anyone assist me with rough prices.

Might be up for grabs in the next few weeks.

Many Thanks

Rather sell on here than ebay so get a rough price here to

While your here *** have you got some samples of your 70 - 200 f2.8 on your 30d please

Interested in buying one soon

The only examples I have so far are terrible (I was too busy experimenting with my new filters to play with my new lens) - I'll pop out tomorrow and try to get some more usable examples for you

Just done a quick check on some 2nd hand sites, 10D bodies range from £150 - 200, and a grip goes for £50-70, and the cards would be worth nothing. These prices are what the shops are selling at, so trade wouldn't be great, better to sell privately.

Thanks for that appreciate it

just our of interest did you have trouble with picking that range of lens.

Im torn between

70 - 200 F4 Canon - Seen the image quality its great but bad in darker situation
70 - 200 F2.8 Canon - wanna see this
70 - 200 F2.8 Sigma - Seen some images very very good

Torn between the three

So top end of things im looking at 225 - 230 for the lot

Thanks for that

Nah think im going to sell it to help fund the new lens

Would like a 17 - 40 F4 but then like the look of the 70 - 200 F4 also

i have £200 atm but selling the 10D Grip 4 CF cards ( Not much use *** :( ) 2 batteries a charger unboxed with a standard 35 - 70 lens i would like to see it go for £250

does anyone think this is worth it

bear in mind the camera is mint

would supply photos but not yet selling and on the wrong thread

I sold mine with a canon grip both were spotless for £230 :bang: . it was very hard to part with at that price as it was my first proper camera and I felt it was worth a lot more as it still took great shots and the build quality was superb. but people want the latest specs that why lens hold there money and cameras dont.
still I got a nice 1D mk2 to replace it :D

70 - 200 F2.8 Canon - wanna see this
70 - 200 F2.8 Sigma - Seen some images very very good

so the 2 canon's are the non IS versions or IS versions, significant difference in wanga

70-200mm F4 was my first lens, its a great lens, light, sharp, fast focusing, and a good price (when I bought it several years back), works well with a 1.4x TC, but will struggle like most f5.6 lenses if the light conditions start to fail.

70-200mm f2.8 IS, I mainly use it for motorsport (no fences though), I've not been impressed with its performance with the 1.4x TC, I heard the non IS has better IQs, but on it's own I've been pleased with its performance.

70-200mm f2.8 sigma, if you don't need IS, its not a bad alternative to the canon and price wise, you'll save some pennies.

Its really what are you going to be using it for, do you need the f2.8. I have found that I've sometimes been wanting more when using the 70-200mm, thats why I bought the 300mm f4 and a friend has taken some great shots with his sigma 100-300mm f4 before upgrading to the sigma 120-300mm f2.8

Thanks for that guys

Think ive made a good decision ***

Loving my dads 70 - 200 F4 its mainly going to be events and portrait photography which will need lighting anyway. Not a huge fan of IS as i dont see it making to much difference.

Might pop into jessops and comare the sigma 2.8 to the canon f4

Many Thanks Peter

O and RickJ i can see why you dont want to part wiht it, it was my 2nd propa camera and feel emotionally attached. But a 1D Mark 2 you lucky bloke

Cheers all

this thread reads like one giant sales thread, you are not trying to circumvent the rules now are you Dan?

No its not Matty sorry if it did look like im braking the rules. I just wanted a rough price on how much they sell for as im tempted to sell that half of my kit to buy a new lens. i then just asked for opinion on one of the three lenses. Without anyones advice and help i proberly wouldnt find or buy have the nice things i get. Not braking any rules. Well at least not trying to.
